VIDEO : Kabul unveils new artwork piece in metropolis sq.

The Afghan capital unveiled a brand new landmark in its Dahan-e-bagh sq., in Kabul.

An enormous hand-painted globe, with an enlarged illustration of the nation, now graces the town. The globe is 8m in diameter and is ready upon a construction that has a mechanism that permits it to spin 5 instances a minute. 

Afghanistan is painted to resemble the Taliban flag, inscribed with the Islamic declaration of religion. Response to the paintings is blended.

Elaha, a feminine unemployed instructor stated she’s disillusioned with the globe. “Once I noticed the map of Afghanistan on the sphere (painted with the Taliban flag) I acquired depressed. You understand how ladies are restricted at present. Once I noticed it, my nerves collapsed utterly.”

Faisal Mudarris, a Youtuber stated “I feel it is excellent. One of many issues that makes me so pleased, (is that) that is all an Afghan engineer’s work so we’re pleased with our Afghans. We wish to present for the world that if we wish, we will.”

The piece is the work of artist Abid Wardak who says it took him 4 days to color the piece, whereas perched on a bamboo ladder.
